What is the difference between commercial Christmas lights and retail lights?
Commercial Christmas lights are built for professional duty: heavier gauge wire, sealed commercial sockets, higher-rated lamps, and construction designed for outdoor exposure and season-long operation. Retail lights are built for a few weeks on a house. The difference shows up in reliability, safety, appearance, and how many seasons the product survives.
